This is due to the growing scientific understanding of the mind-body connection and the bodies ability to heal itself. Combining this with an ever-growing body of research with our new found love of yoga in the west, it is an exciting field to be involved in the inception of this profession

What is the difference between and Yoga teacher and a Yoga Therapist?

A Yoga therapist is an experienced and highly training yoga teacher. The training requires  a minimum of 950 hrs of training as opposed to the minimum 200 hr required for a yoga teacher

As well as meeting the requirements of a Yoga teacher with at least 2 years experience, a yoga therapist has been trained over a further two years in the following areas; therapeutic relationship and counselling skills, biomedical, psychology and mental health foundations, biomechanics, anatomy and physiology, yoga and the mind, yogic framework of health and wellness, yoga therapy tools, principles and skills for educating clients, professional practice and basic research skills.
