Nalinee’s passion for women’s and family health comes partly from her experience of motherhood with her own two bundles of ‘dynamic energy’, aged three and six. Whenever Nalinee’s practice involves parents and children in areas such as fertility and pregnancy, it gives her great satisfaction to contribute to individual well-being, but also the cycle of life.
In addition, Nalinee works with a full range of women’s and men’s health issues and general practice areas such as pain, headache, stress, digestive health, and insomnia.
Nalinee loves being a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and keeps up with the field to ensure her clients achieve the best possible health. Nalinee’s approach is based on continuous learning. Nalinee grew up in Thailand, a country with a strong living tradition of natural healing, and she has been studying and practicing health disciplines since 1998, when qualified in Thai massage, before moving to Australia to expand her knowledge of oriental massage and to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Nalinee has been lucky enough to have a range of great teachers. The highlights of her TCM study were a 3-month internship in Guangxi TCM University hospitals in Nanning, China, and receiving the first David Whitworth Memorial Prize for Acupuncture at the Australian College of Natural Medicine. Nalinee was later able to help pass knowledge on by being a lecturer in acupuncture at the University of Lincoln (UK) and a supervisor of the student acupuncture clinic there.
As well as working as an acupuncturist, herbalist and massage therapist at Olive Tree Acupuncture, Nalinee has completed a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Western Sydney. Combining the latest western and TCM medical research with her clinical experience and traditional knowledge enriches her understanding and insight in practice.
Nalinee is registered with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
